Just Wanna Say Hi.

Hi Peeps. Yes, I've been away from the blogsphere for quite a while. A lot on my plate as of late that I haven't had the time to update the ongoings of my mundane life which somehow or rather has been quite hectic these last few months. There's so much that I want to share, so many photos to upload but I couldn't seem to find the time.

But all in all, life has been good to the family. Still staying put in Singapore for the time being though there have been countless of offers for Mr Z to move back to Hong Kong.  Tak laratlah nak berpindah-randah lagi. Shafiq is so settled at his current school and I've made friends with some really nice people so there's pretty much a social life for me here.

Still longing for another baby brother or sister for my darling Shafiq, but then belum ada rezeki. Nak buat macam mana? I leave it in the hands of Allah.

Is it too late for me to wish all my Muslim friends and family members, not forgetting visitors of this humble page of mine, (if there is any) Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri? After all, it is still the month of Syawal, right? :))

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri from the Z Family.
Maaf, zahir dan batin.

Hope everybody had a good Raya. Got a lot of Raya pics to share but still waiting for Mr Z to edit the pic as it is still in raw format. Mr Z is away in Hong Kong on business and I'm counting the days till he returns home. ( To Mr Z, Shafiq and Mommy miss you!!!)

Till my next post, should I find the time (and most importantly, the mood to babble whatnots) , here's to wishing everybody a good week ahead.

I Just Called To Say I Love You.

I was having lunch at a friend’s place back in Kuala Lumpur a few weeks ago and she commented on the number of calls I received from Mr Z during that few hours I was with her. She said, “you all berdua ni macam boyfriend girlfriend lah”.

Mr Z calls me up a few times in a day. It has always been a habit of Mr Z to call me every morning when he arrives at the office. It has been a habit of his from the beginning of our marriage up till this very moment. Sometimes in between morning meetings, he will call. He will then call me again to inform that he’s going out for lunch and then again after he’s finished lunch and is back at the office. His last call of the day would be to tell me what time he would be wrapping up work so that I can pick him up from the MRT station.

Sometimes during the day, he’ll just text me to say that he loves me and misses me. (Yes People!!! I know you readers are rolling your eyes upwards and getting ready to throw up! But it is the truth. I swear.)

So when my friend J said that her hubby will only call her when there’s anything important or to let her know when he’s returning home so that she can prepare hot dinner for him, I began asking a few of my other friends whether their husbands call them up from work, or send them text messages. To my surprise, all of them answered no.

Even back in the days when I was still gainfully employed, I would try to call/sms Mr Z whenever time permits just to say hi and to let him know that I’m thinking of him.

So when my friends tell me that they don’t call/text their respective spouses and vice versa, I find it hard to believe. How can that be? Are they so focused on their jobs/daily lives that they don’t even have time to call/text and say hello? Don’t they miss each other when they’re not together?

Why is that, during the courting years, couples can’t seem to get enough of each other? The constant calls, the constant texting. Why can’t it be like that forever?

Even after all these years, Mr. Z & I have lots to talk about.
 (and fight about too. hehe...)

Mr Z and I do not have a perfect marriage. We do fight like cats and dogs but we try our best to make our marriage work.

Though we'll be married for 10 years this coming October, I still find myself missing him when he’s not around. Even when he’s right next to me and all he does is fiddle with his iPhone (a habit of his that I absolutely hate but had to get used to nevertheless), his presence makes me happy.

I know though he’s busy with meetings and conference calls all day long, him making the effort to call me/text me (when he’s running short of time) means the world to me.

I Love You Mr Z. (And I pray that we'll never run out of things to say to each other)

I'm Back!!! :))

Hi Peeps.

I think it has been exactly 2 months, 2 days since I wrote/type anything here. Friends and family members have been smsing and contacting me via facebook to enquire why I suddenly “privatised” this personal space of mine?

Truth be told, I have been too lazy to write anything. Believe it or not, this full time domestic goddess (ehem, ehem...) has been awfully busy. The thing about “blogspot” is that there is no “deactivate” function like Facebook that you can click on should you feel the need to be “offline” for a brief period of time.

I didn’t want friends and family members to keep returning to my blog only to discover that I have no recent updates. The only available way to be “offline” for a while without closing my blogspot account was to make it “private”.

I hope I have not offended any of my close friends and family members by “going private”.

So here I am, back again, making this space of mine available for all you kind readers out there.

All I need now is something to write about. Mmmmm....

Cheerios.

First Entry Of The Year.

Twelve days into the new year, is it too late for a Happy New Year shout out? Well, it's better late than never, right? So here's to wishing a Happy Belated 2011 to all of you out there. Here's hoping for a blessed and great year for all of us with promising and fulfilling days ahead. :))

So how did you all welcome the new year? As for us, we had house guests during the new year weekend. We spent the New Year's Eve watching the fireworks from the 19th floor of our condo. We live on the 10th floor but we'll always go up to the 19th floor whenever there's a major event involving fireworks, for a clear and unrestricted view of the fireworks.

We have been having guests over since the X’mas weekend till the recent weekend. Three weekends in a row of having house guests, entertaining them and making sure that their trip to Singapore and the time they spent with us was an enjoyable and memorable one.

I love having family and friends over at our place.  Though we live in a small condo, we’re able to comfortably accommodate a few adults and kids at the same time. The most number of guests we’ve had staying at our place at a time was about 7 adults plus 2 kids.

Since moving to Singapore in June 2009, we’ve had so many house guests that I’ve actually lost count. And I believe the number will continue to rise as we have a few more coming “bookings” for the year. I guess I have to thank Universal Studios Singapore for the steady flow of house guests we’ve been receiving over the 1 year 7 months period since we left Hong Kong and took up residence in this tiny island we know as Singapore.

To all family members and friends who have graciously graced our humble home with their presence, I hope that your stay with us have been a good and memorable one. Do come again. :))
